Our SponsorshipIn addition to our keen focus on environmental issues, CO2 Australia is also commited to the ongoing support of communities and like-minded organisations, such as: Truth in Art Awards
Are you an artist who is passionate about the environment and health? The Truth in Art Awards is now calling for entries from both high profile artists and the general community keen to explore artistically ‘the inconvenient truth’ of climate change, which is already affecting the environment and the health and wellbeing of society. CO2 Australia is supporting the launch of the awards by Parks Victoria. The award winners will be announced at the ground breaking international Healthy Parks Healthy People Congress in Melbourne from April 11 to 16.
MacKillop Family Services
In 2009, with the support of colleagues and friends, CO2 Australia redesigned the backyard of a MacKillop residence in Melbourne's east and introduced a green lawn, native plants, a veggie patch and a 5000lt water tank to keep the garden thriving. A wall-mounted clothesline now allows for greater play area, and a new BBQ means the kids can enjoy meals in their own Great Aussie Backyard. CO2 Australia is planning a new backyard makeover for MacKillop in Autumn 2010. As a not for profit organisation, MacKillop Family Services welcomes all levels of support. To assist, please
Rip Curl Pro Surf & Music Festival
For the past three years, CO2 Australia has supported the Rip Curl Pro Surf & Music Festival by offsetting the event's greenhouse gas emissions. All onsite energy consumption, competitors' and officials' travel to and from the event is offset through our planting program. The Rip Curl Pro - the world's longest running and most prestigious professional surfing contest - will take place in Australia's surfing home of Torquay from 30 March to 10 April 2010. The ASP World Tour's best 45 male surfers, two Rip Curl Wildcards and one local Victorian Wildcard from the Victoria Place To Be Trials will be at Bells over Easter to compete the year's second ASP World Tour contest, but only one deserved winner will get their hands on the prized Bell trophy. |
